An online store for businesses that already sell

From Zalău, Romania, we build online stores for businesses that already sell and want orders coming straight to their own website, working remotely with clients at home and abroad. From 7,500 lei (≈ €1,500), paid once.

What you get

If you already sell — in a shop, on Facebook, on Instagram or on a marketplace — you've solved the hard part: you have products people buy. Your own online store brings orders to a place you control: no marketplace commission on every sale and no orders lost in message threads.

When your own online store makes sense

  • You have a physical shop and customers keep asking whether they can order from home.
  • You sell on Facebook or Instagram, and orders arrive as messages, with addresses typed by hand and payments checked manually.
  • You sell on a marketplace and want a channel of your own, with no marketplace commission on every order, where customers come straight to you.
  • You make things to order and want a catalogue with clear prices and options, instead of quoting one message at a time.

If you're just starting out and don't yet know what sells, start simpler: a business website with your main products costs less, and the enquiries you get show you what people are after. The store can come later, once you know where the demand is.

What's on your side and what we do

With an online store, a large part of the work sits with the business, not the code. Below is the split we use, so you know from the start what to prepare.

Photosclear photos on a clean background for each productwe optimise them for speed and lay them out consistently

How much an online store costs and what drives the price

Our prices for an online store start at 7,500 lei (≈ €1,500), paid once, for a store with no special requirements. We estimate the final price in hours once we know what you need, and the difference usually comes down to the points below. Our prices are in Romanian lei; euro amounts are approximate.

If you're comparing several quotes, the criteria in our article on how much a business website costs apply to an online store too.

Costs after launch

  • The payment processor's fee on every card payment.
  • Deliveries, according to your contract with the courier.
  • Invoicing software, if it runs on a subscription.
  • Domain and hosting, paid yearly or monthly.
  • [Maintenance](/servicii/mentenanta-site), if you want it: backups, updates, monitoring and hours for content changes, from 350 lei (≈ €70) a month.

Choosing an ecommerce platform for your business

We build on two options: a Shopify store, on a monthly subscription, or a store on our own platform, built around your business. Either way, you manage products, prices and stock yourself. You can also start on your own with a template platform; for some businesses that's enough. Before you choose, compare the options against the same questions:

  1. Who owns the order and customer data, and can you take it with you if you leave?
  2. What do you pay in total — subscription, commission per sale, paid add-ons — not just at the start?
  3. Can you change the checkout flow and the design, or only the colours and logo?
  4. How quickly do the product page and checkout load on a phone?
  5. Does it connect to the courier and invoicing software you already use?
  6. Who helps you after launch when something breaks on a busy day?

If you like, we can go through these questions together on a phone or video call before you get a quote.

An ecommerce website from Romania, built remotely

We're a web agency based in Zalău, in north-west Romania. We work with businesses across the region and further afield, and we've delivered projects in 12 countries, including the UK, the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Australia. We don't have an office open to the public, so everything happens remotely, by phone, video call or email.

From day one you get an account in our client portal. There you see the hours worked, what's been done and what's next, your requests and your invoices. For every new request you get an estimate in hours and price, usually on the same working day.

If you also have a physical shop, local customers look for you on Google Maps too. A complete Google Business Profile with a link to your online store connects the two channels — details on our local SEO page.

Pricing

The price depends mainly on the number of products and variants, the delivery and payment options, and the integrations you need.

Projects are paid 30% upfront and 70% on completion. You get a written estimate in hours before we start.

Frequently asked questions

How much do you charge for an online store?

It starts at 7,500 lei (≈ €1,500), paid once, for a store with no special requirements. You receive the final quote in writing, estimated in hours, and payment is 30% upfront and 70% on completion.

How long until I can take my first orders?

On average, 3–4 weeks. It depends mostly on the number of products and on how ready the documents, photos and copy are; card payments also need your contract with a payment processor. You can follow progress in the portal throughout.

Can I keep selling on Facebook or a marketplace?

Yes, your own store is an extra channel, not a replacement. If you need stock to update automatically across channels, we check what the platforms you sell on allow before we quote.

Do you write the product descriptions and legal documents?

You can write the descriptions yourself, or we can adapt them and include the hours in the estimate. We draft the legal documents (terms, returns, privacy, cookies) around your rules, and you approve them before launch.

Can I add products myself after launch?

Yes. Whether we build it on Shopify or on our own platform, you manage products, prices and stock yourself from the admin panel. If you'd rather we handled changes, the Maintenance plan includes 4 hours a month, and Maintenance + Content includes 10.

Who owns the store and the accounts?

The rights to the store pass to you once it's paid in full. Your contracts with the payment processor, the courier and the invoicing software are in your company's name anyway.

Do you work with businesses outside Romania?

Yes. We work remotely, by phone, video and email, and have delivered projects in 12 countries.
