Custom web application development, built around how you work

Custom web apps for the processes a simple website can't handle: bookings, client accounts, subscriptions, reports and internal dashboards. Built in stages, with a demo at each one, for businesses in Romania and abroad.

What you get

A website makes your business known. A web app takes on part of the daily work: it handles bookings, keeps client accounts, generates reports and shows each person only what concerns them.

When a web app makes sense for your business

The clearest sign is a process that runs on phone calls, spreadsheets and messages today, and breaks every time the volume grows. Typical cases:

  • Online booking platform. Clients pick a slot themselves, and you see the whole diary in one place.
  • Client portal. Each client logs in to see documents, the status of a request or their history, without calling you to ask.
  • Subscriptions and member access. Courses, content or services paid for periodically, with access tied to an active subscription.
  • Reports. Data entered day by day becomes reports ready to submit, with no calculations done by hand.
  • Internal dashboards. Orders, tasks or stock tracked by the team in one place, instead of spreadsheets sent by email.

We've built systems like these before. At Birou Notarial Zalău, a notary's office in Zalău, clients book online and the office manages its appointments and reviews from an admin dashboard. MileTallyPro calculates mileage automatically for UK drivers and prepares their reports for HMRC. EduMate is a free maths preparation platform for Romania's national exam, with video lessons and mock tests. You'll find the details in our portfolio.

Website, online shop or web app?

Not every idea needs an app, and an app costs more than a website. Three questions help you choose:

  1. Do visitors read about you and then get in touch? A business website is enough, and it can handle simple online bookings too, as long as nobody needs an account.
  2. Do you sell products at fixed prices, with a basket, payment and delivery? You need an online shop.
  3. Do users have accounts, come back often, work with data that changes and need different permissions? That's where web app development begins.

If you're not sure, describe the process to us. We'll suggest the option that fits, even if it's the simplest one.

How the build works: an MVP, then stages with demos

We don't build the whole app in one go and show it to you at the end. The first delivery is usually an MVP (minimum viable product): the smallest version that solves the main problem and that real people can already use.

For a booking platform, the MVP might be just this: a client creates an account and books a slot, and you see the diary in the admin dashboard. Reviews, online payment or reports come in later stages, once you've seen how people use what's already there.

Each stage ends with a demo: we show you what works on a video call, you tell us what to change, and only then do we move on. Between demos, you can follow the hours worked, what's been done and what's next in our client portal, where you have an account from day one. That way you don't pay for features before you know they're needed, and the direction gets corrected along the way rather than after launch.

What affects the price of a web app

A web app starts from 12,000 lei (≈ €2,400), as a one-off payment. The final price comes from the hours estimated for your project, and the hours depend mostly on a few things:

What mattersSimplerMore complex
User typesclients and one administratorseveral roles, each with different permissions
Workflowsone main workflow, such as bookingseveral connected workflows
Integrationsthe app works on its ownthe payment processor, invoicing software, calendar
Reportsfilterable lists with exportcalculations, charts, automatically generated documents
Existing datastarting from scratchimporting clients and history from spreadsheets or another system
Languagesone languagetwo or more

You receive the final quote in writing, estimated in hours, before we start. If the budget is tight, we move the less urgent features to the stages after the MVP rather than cutting corners on quality.

What we need from you

A good app starts from a clear process. This is the part we can't do for you:

  • One decision-maker. Someone who answers questions and signs off each stage, so the work doesn't stall.
  • The process, exceptions included. Not just the usual case, but what happens when a client cancels, turns up late or pays in part.
  • Your existing data. Client lists, services and prices, if you want them imported.
  • Your own accounts. The domain and, if the app takes payments, the payment processor account. We recommend keeping them in your own or your company's name, so you don't depend on anyone.
  • A few real users. People who use the MVP and tell you honestly what gets in their way.

What maintenance means after launch

An app has users, data and accounts, so it needs ongoing care. On our maintenance plan, from 350 lei (≈ €70) a month, we run weekly off-site backups with restores when needed, minor updates, and security and uptime monitoring, and you get a short monthly report.

Content changes are covered by 4 hours a month, or 10 on the Maintenance + Content plan at 550 lei (≈ €110) a month. A new feature is different: you request it in the portal, receive an estimate in hours and price, usually the same working day, and we only start once you approve it. We then build it as a new stage, with a demo.

Based in Zalău, working with clients anywhere

We're based in Zalău, Sălaj County, in north-west Romania. We don't have an office open to the public, and a web app doesn't need one: we talk by phone, video or email, demos happen on video calls, and you can follow progress in the portal at any time.

That's how we work with clients across Romania and abroad. We've delivered projects in 12 countries, from the United Kingdom to Australia.

Got a process that eats up hours every week? Tell us about it and we'll tell you which option fits and roughly what it would cost.

Pricing

The price rises with the number of roles, workflows and integrations with other systems. A tightly scoped MVP is the safest way to start on a small budget.

Projects are paid 30% upfront and 70% on completion. You get a written estimate in hours before we start.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to build a web app?

We agree the timeline at the start, once we understand the process and have split the app into stages. What matters most is how much goes into the MVP and how quickly answers and data come from your side.

Can I start small and extend the app later?

Yes, and that's usually what we recommend. Each new feature becomes a stage, with its own estimate in hours and a demo at the end.

How is a web app paid for?

In two instalments: 30% upfront before we start and 70% on completion, with 14-day payment terms on each invoice. Prices are in Romanian lei; euro amounts are approximate.

Can the app connect to online payments or my invoicing software?

Yes, if the payment processor or invoicing software you use offers an integration. The integration is then part of the written estimate in hours you get before we start.

What if I change my mind about a feature mid-project?

That's what the demos are for: changes are discussed at the end of each stage. If a change adds hours, you get the estimate before we make it.

Can I commission an app as an individual?

Yes, we work with individuals too, for example if you want to test an idea before setting up a company.

Can I stop maintenance after launch?

Yes. The plan is invoiced monthly, renews automatically and can be ended with 30 days' notice. Unused hours don't carry over to the next month.
