Yes. No account, card or subscription. We offer it because it's the simplest way to see how we work: if you want help with the fixes, get in touch; if not, the report is yours to keep.
We use it to send you the report. We only contact you if you tick the box on the form, and we only add you to the newsletter if you tick its own box — otherwise you get nothing else. We keep the audit request for up to 12 months, then delete it.
Only people who have the link: its address contains a long random code and the page doesn't appear in Google. Your email address isn't shown in the report.
No. Our robot makes at most about 75 requests, a few at a time — roughly what a visitor browsing a few pages does. It doesn't submit forms, go into password-protected areas or request any address your robots.txt disallows for it.
It's the robot behind this free audit. It visits a website only when someone requests an audit for it here, reads public pages only and respects robots.txt. If you spotted it in your server logs, that's all it did.
Add the lines “User-agent: InnotiveAudit” and “Disallow: /” to robots.txt: the robot reads robots.txt before anything else and stops without analysing anything. Conversely, to let it through while other robots are blocked, add “User-agent: InnotiveAudit” with “Allow: /”.
It can't see your positions in Google, links from other websites or your Search Console and Analytics data. It's an automated analysis: it quickly finds technical and content problems, but it doesn't replace an SEO strategy put together by a person.
The speed Google measures varies with every test, depending on how busy the server and the network are at that moment. A difference of a few points is normal; what matters is the list of problems, not the exact number.
