Pricing

How much does a business website cost in 2026 — and why quotes vary so much

What goes into the price of a business website, the costs after launch and how to compare quotes fairly — with our own prices, shown openly.

If you've already asked for a few quotes, you've probably received numbers that look nothing alike: from a couple of hundred euros for a template to several thousand at an agency. That doesn't necessarily mean someone is overcharging. Most of the time, the quotes describe different things, even though they're all called a “business website”.

Below we explain what makes up the price, which costs appear after launch and how to compare quotes without ending up paying twice. At the end you'll also find our prices, exactly as they appear on our website.

The short answer

A professionally built business website, with a custom design, a few well-planned pages and optimised for mobile and Google, starts at 3,500 lei (≈ €700) with us, as a one-off payment. Cheaper options exist, but they usually mean a bought template, less work on copy and speed, or more of your own time.

What actually goes into the price

The price of a website is, broadly, working time. Each point below adds hours — or removes them, if you skip it.

  • Design. A bought theme can be adapted in a few hours. A design that starts from your business — what you sell, to whom, what you want visitors to do — needs structure, options and iterations.
  • Number of pages. Not just how many, but how many are different. Five service pages with the same layout cost less than five completely different pages.
  • Content. Copy and photos are often missing at the start. Writing or adapting them is extra work — and also the difference between a website that sells and one that simply exists.
  • Features. Contact form, map, gallery, blog, two languages, online bookings. Each needs building, testing and maintaining.
  • Speed and technical SEO. Optimised images, fast loading on mobile, titles and descriptions for Google, a sitemap. Not visible at first glance, but they matter from day one.
  • The legal side. Privacy policy, cookies, GDPR-compliant forms.

Costs after launch

The build quote is only part of it. A website also has recurring costs, which are worth knowing from the start:

  • The domain (for example, your-company.com) — a yearly fee, usually a small amount.
  • Hosting — the server your website lives on. For a business website it starts at a few euros a month.
  • The SSL certificate (the padlock in the browser bar) — included free with most hosting.
  • Maintenance — updates, backups, security checks and small content changes. You can do it yourself if you know how, or leave it to someone on a monthly plan.

How to compare two quotes fairly

Put the quotes side by side and look for the answers to the same questions. The price difference is almost always explained here:

  1. Is the design made for you, or does it start from a bought theme?
  2. How many pages are included, and what does each contain?
  3. Who writes or adapts the copy?
  4. Are mobile optimisation, speed and basic SEO included?
  5. What happens after launch: who makes updates, and at what cost?
  6. Who owns the rights to the website once you've paid?
  7. Do you get an estimate in hours and a clear delivery date?

A very low quote isn't a problem in itself. It becomes one when you don't know what isn't included and only find out at the end, as extra costs.

What it costs with us

We show our starting prices openly on the website, because we think you should know the ballpark before you write to us. You receive the final quote, estimated in hours, before we start. Our prices are in Romanian lei; euro amounts are approximate.

What to prepare before asking for a quote

  • What you want visitors to do: call, request a quote, book an appointment?
  • The list of services or products you want to present.
  • 2–3 websites you like, even from another industry, and why.
  • What you already have: logo, photos, copy, domain.
  • A target date and a rough budget.

With this information, any quote — ours or someone else's — will be more accurate. If you'd like to work out what you need together, get in touch.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to build a business website?

With us, about one week from the moment we have your materials and know what you want, and up to two weeks with rounds of changes. What matters most is how quickly we get the content and feedback: copy and photos prepared in advance shorten a project considerably.

What does “from” mean in the prices on your website?

It's the starting price for a project with no special requirements. The final price depends on the number of pages, features and content, and you receive it estimated in hours before we start.

Is a website worth it if I already have a Facebook page and a Google profile?

Social pages and your Google profile are useful, but they aren't yours: the platforms decide the rules and how you're shown. Your website is the place you fully control and where you can explain your services in depth.
